On August 5, the State Administration for Market Regulation issued "Guiding Opinions on Promoting the Construction of National Carbon Metrology Centers". It proposes that, on the basis of overall coordination and unified planning, priority be given to the layout and construction of national carbon metrology centers, focusing on the carbon metrology needs of key industries and key products such as power batteries. Research will be conducted on methods for obtaining carbon emission factors based on actual measurements to help improve the quality of data on carbon emissions, carbon accounting, and carbon footprints. In accordance with relevant requirements, active participation will be taken in work related to carbon verification, carbon footprint certification, and carbon monitoring. It will deeply participate in the formulation of international carbon metrology-related strategies, actively engage in and lead the formulation and revision of international carbon metrology rules, and enhance China's international discourse power and influence.
