On July 4, the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology drafted "Policy Measures for Supporting the Development of Intelligent Connected New Energy Commercial Vehicle Industry in Chongqing (2025—2027) (Draft for Public Comment)" and is seeking public comments on it. Eligible commercial vehicle enterprises will be granted a maximum financial subsidy of 20 million yuan. According to the Measures, Chongqing will provide financial support ranging from 3 million to 10 million yuan to intelligent connected new energy commercial vehicle enterprises in multiple areas, including vehicle model R&D, new construction and technological transformation of core components, and R&D of intelligent driving system platforms. Among them, individual vehicle enterprises can receive a maximum of 20 million yuan. In addition, the Measures propose that financial institutions providing financial leasing services for 1,000 intelligent connected new energy commercial vehicles, and insurance institutions optimizing commercial auto insurance products for such vehicles, will each be awarded a maximum of 5 million yuan.
