On July 2, the Hunan Provincial Development and Reform Commission issued the "Notice on Matters Concerning Optimizing the Time-of-Use Electricity Pricing Policy in Our Province", which optimized and adjusted Hunan’s time-of-use electricity pricing policy. The adjusted policy shall be implemented starting from August 1, 2025, with a validity period of 5 years. Throughout the year, the 24-hour daily period is divided into three segments—peak, flat, and valley—each lasting 8 hours. The midday peak period will be adjusted to a valley period year-round, with 12:00-14:00 designated as the valley period.
